Description
Pinion spindle for GR6S Garforth lamp only.
This spindle is longer than the spindle for the Type 6.
This passes through the glass plate, at the bottom (it is screwed to the pinion wheel and then soldered in place) which is operated by the striker key, on the top sits the flint wheel which is retained by the flint wheel button.
Fitting Instructions
When fitting turn the pinion gear finger tight only and then add a drop of solder. If you prefer you can use thread locker.
When the spindle is fitted it should turn freely.
When fitting the flint wheel and screw button hold the flint wheel with thin nosed pliers and screw down the button. Do not use the gear to tighten against the screw button as it will over tighten and restrict movement of the spindle and or break the solder.
